Source first, scope clear, uncertainty visible

Our process is designed to keep mechanics traceable and prevent an unknown from becoming a confident claim.

Primary-source method

Federal guides begin with IRS publications, forms, instructions, regulations, or other official material. Pages identify the edition and the date the source was checked. State data requires a state primary source and a row-level verified-as-of date.

Computed, not asserted

Counts, dates, and calculated outputs must come from stated inputs. If an input is absent, the result remains unavailable. Missing does not mean zero, exempt, or not applicable.

Independent review

Registry rows must carry a review status. Unreviewed rows display “pending independent review.” A reviewer name or credential appears only after a signed memo, written naming consent, and durable primary-source verification are attached. One reviewer can appear on a page.

Corrections and updates

Material changes should update the source-check date and preserve the distinction between the source edition and the day our editors retrieved it. Reviewed registry figures are not silently fork-edited.

Commercial boundary

This desk does not publish rates, product comparisons, carrier pages, individualized strategy, or lead collection. Its one site-wide monetary connection points readers who are already shopping to the separate annuity-rates property.
